The small works speak in fragments. I make them from bark pulp, torn and pressed to explore themes of exhaustion and the tension between nature and my complicated relationship to rest.
I work outside, in the forest, at sunrise, sunset, sometimes in darkness. The sun, wind, rain, my fingerprints, soil, dust, and fallen foliage - everything around me.
